To eat, the octopus sucks in their prey in the middle of all their arms. When in the middle the food gets stuck in the octopus' mucus. Then the octopus paralyzes it. After that the octopus eats it. Usually octopuses eat mollusks, clams, shrimp, mussels, small fish, and crabs.
